Guild Wars
So I just reinstalled. What's been going on with GvG? While talking, please think about the fact I've not played seriously since before Nightfall, so knowing the kind of balance I'm looking at would be cool, thanks.

You 'eard! Now tell me Asp, what's gone on other than LADDER MANIPULATION?!!
Edit: Also I'd just like to say to whoever the poster is below me I'd rather be told than Obs games for 30 minutes to see a load of Lingering Curse Necros (lol?), Peace and Harmony Monks (wut now?), and either Warrior's Endurance or Primal Rage Warriors. When did those skills become not awful?

Press "b" and observe some games, so you'll see what the game looks like. But don't observe too many games of pseudo american top100 guilds, made my close guild wars superfast when I obsed a match. Too bad DF, dV and dR stopped playing so nothing to obs until the evening.

JR has it right. However, it is still extremely fun to shit talk. This will never change.

Yeah, that's new too, games only last 28 minutes now. :ugly:
If you don't want to watch the games, just check this page to see when builds were played,etc...

Things that happened:
1) Sins go buffed
2) Sins got nerfed
3) Rinse and repeat.
4) Other stuff gets buffed, and is either left in a gimmick way, or nerfed into oblivion.
5) Do yourself a favor, find another game.

Don't forget to bring 4 15k armour sets to change between while ownin' them nubz. Also bring all the chaos axes you can find, and yell obnoxious thing in the chat, like how scared the L/K are of each other.
Don't worry, you'll fit in just fine.

Most important for you to know is that american times are completely dead, so either you play on euro times or you don't play at all.
Then the game got grossly "imbalanced" mind you it's not complete build wars, it's just that there are dozens of extremely good skills. This has made the game stale, but more importantly: boring. The new overpowered skills do not reward smart or skillfull play and restrict your options completely. Because of this, observing is incredibly boring, it feels like watching the same game over and over again. In short; Izzy RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up. Hard.
On a positive note: Game mechanics have improved. There are reconnects, there's no VoD and they removed all gates and guild thieves. This means bring your own build, BYOB, is actually quite a lot of fun. I quit competitive gvg many months ago because i really didn't like doing it anymore. I now run a byob guild and we gvg almost every day. In the four years i've been playing guild wars i've rarely had so much fun as i have now, but that's also partly because i'm calling the strategy as well.
So yes, guild wars is still really fun, you just need to play certain builds with a certain attitude with certain people at a certain time.
If you are interested you can always join my guild (same counts for you JR) but we're euro!
